Kinship caregivers may apply directly or through a community validator. Step Up Parents makes payments directly to vendors and service providers on behalf of our families.

Validators

As a Community Validator, you are verifying that the kinship child is in the applicant's care and confirming there is a need. Validators may bypass income and guardianship requirements at the end of the application.

Caregivers applying independently

If you are applying on your own without the help of a social worker, please leave the two "Community Validator" questions blank. Please make sure to add all household members and their relationship to you. At the end of the application, you will be asked to upload proof of income and proof that the kinship child(ren) is in your care through our secure application site, so please have these documents readily available.
