Portsmouth Elks #97 selects Step Up Parents for Spotlight Grant; Honored by Governor Chris Sununu

It was a wonderful night at the Portsmouth Elks Lodge #97 last Thursday as Step Up Parents’ board accepted a generous $6,000 ELKS Foundation Beacon Grant from the Elks National Foundation. This annual grant helps shine a spotlight on the plight of children who are the victims of the opioid crisis.

We were honored to hear Governor Chris Sununu and Deaglan McEachern Mayor of Portsmouth speak on behalf of our mission to support kinship caregivers, along with Step Up Parents' Founder and Executive Director Denyse Richter, Board Chair Jennifer DuChene, Treasurer Mark Lefebvre, and Pam Brazeau.
