Help kids in kinship care experience joy and enrichment this summer!

This spring and summer, Step Up Parents is seeking support for our Summer Care & Enrichment Campaign, which will ensure children in kinship care throughout New Hampshire and Southern Maine have access to opportunities that promote joy, healing, and growth during the summer months. Many kinship caregivers cannot afford summer programs, leaving children at risk of missing out on critical experiences that foster social, emotional, and physical development.

Your support will help kinship families cover the costs of:

  • Summer Camps: Providing children with the opportunity to explore, connect, and create cherished memories.

  • Sports and Lessons: Supporting physical and social development through structured activities.

  • Enrichment Programs: Offering creative outlets like music, art, and STEM activities to nurture personal growth and build confidence.

Kinship caregivers often step in with little to no notice, facing significant financial strain while trying to provide a stable and loving environment for children. Many are grandparents or relatives living on fixed incomes, making it nearly impossible to afford extracurricular activities or summer programs. Your sponsorship will ensure that children impacted by SUD and trauma can enjoy the transformative benefits of summer care, helping them heal and thrive.
