100 Women Who Care Seacoast Donates $10,000 to Step Up Parents, Enough to Help 20 Kinship Families

On Thursday, April 24, 100 Women Who Care Seacoast selected Step Up Parents to receive a generous $10,000 donation. This incredible organization comprises women committed to strengthening their communities through shared giving.

Each quarter, 100+ members of 100 Women Seacoast contribute $100 each and vote on a local nonprofit to receive a collective donation that now exceeds $10,000. This simple yet powerful model of philanthropy allows them to make a significant impact on grassroots organizations serving the Seacoast area.

Step Up Parents was honored to be one of three nominated nonprofits this quarter, alongside Lucy’s Love Bus and No Brain is the Same. We are humbled to be in the company of such dedicated and impactful organizations.

This $10,000 donation will allow us to help as many as 20 kinship families across Rockingham and Strafford Counties in New Hampshire and York County, Maine. These are families who have stepped up to raise a relative’s child, often unexpectedly and without the resources they need. With the rising cost of living, we are seeing larger and more frequent requests. Generous donations like this directly impact our ability to say “yes” to more families in need.

We are especially grateful to Nadine Hill for nominating Step Up Parents and to every member of 100 Women Seacoast who cast a vote in support of our mission. Thank you for believing in the power of kinship care and in the work we do.

Together, we are building stronger families and more resilient communities.
